Achieving your bucket list goals despite the Coronavirus

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

The Coronavirus. Everyone is talking about it, everybody knows about it, and everybody is either visibly or internally panicking over it. So, your country's in lockdown and you may not be able to leave your house. What now? What about your list? Well, go through it. You may not be able to leave the country, you may not be able to leave your city or your house, but I bet there's at least one goal on your bucket list which doesn't involve much time in the outdoors. Let me give you a few examples.

On my bucket list I have goal number #235 A-Z Author Challenge, which is, in my mind, rather self explanatory. Read 26 books in alphabetical order in terms of the author names. In which I'm starting with a book called The Whisper Man by Alex North, I will then read Dracula by Bram Stocker, followed by Christopher Ransom's The Haunting of James Hastings, and so on and so on. What you may have noticed from this goal is that it can be achieved in one's own time without needing to go very far. It gives you something to do whilst in isolation as well as still being able to achieve something.

Another example of something on my list which is pretty simple to do and doesn't require going out is #48 Solve a Rubik's Cube. As long as you already have a Rubik's cube you don't really have to leave the house you can just research the pattern and attempt to memorize it. And even if you don't have one you could order one from Amazon and have it shipped straight to you. Again, not needing to leave your premises.

What I'm trying to show with these two examples is that there are ways in which one can have and achieve bucket list goals that only require you as a person and absolutely does not require you to leave the house, without requiring the help of others, and which allow you to fill your time with useful, fun, productive activities. I, for example, will be attempting to achieve those two very goals throughout my own isolation. For more examples I will now leave below a list of more ideas for you and your list. Have fun, and stay safe.
