#9 Have a really large collection of something ✔

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

Recently I minimized one of my most prized possessions, a sentimental collection which I have been growing since I was 5. Being Asperger, I didn't have many friends growing up, in fact, if I try to count them I could barely fill up one hand. Therefore, my video games ended up becoming my friends, and it was through video games that I was able to then make more friends as I grew up. Videos games have always been my happy place, and ever since I can remember, whenever I was drained emotionally, mentally and physically I would escape into the world of video games to recharge my batteries. Without knowing, the more I played video games the more energy I had to spend on social interactions and social activities. This helped me to make friends later down the line. Saying that, now that I am older, despite being able to make friends easier I find myself being rather picky with the friends I chose to have and the people I intend to spend my time and surround myself with. Being, or attempting to live a more minimalistic lifestyle, I chose to live more intently and thus the friends I chose to surround myself with are chosen with intent. With this I mean that I am a rather positive person, or at least I try to be as positive as I possibly can, and so, the friends I make and keep, in my opinion, must be positive also, and bring further positivity into my life. So, thank you both video games and minimalism for benefiting my life and aiding me in living a more intentional, happy and positive life.

What new experience will you make happen or attempt this week?
