In other words, Tolle is saying that happiness comes from living in the present. Putting the cheesy, well-known phrase "it's about the journey not the destination" into a more obvious perspective. Therefore, I hope that we all treat ourselves this Christmas by being more present and enjoying the current time that we have to be with our loved ones and sharing a beautiful moment in time, instead of spending so much time worrying about the future, thinking about the past, or wasting our mental energy, and our batteries, by scrolling through social media. Live in the now. I hope you all have a wonderful week.
